Meet Jennifer Roessler
I believe in the transformative power of compassion, kindness, self-awareness and the peace that comes with a calm nervous system. My approach is rooted in the understanding that every individual comes with their own unique set of past experiences and I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space of present attention where one’s feelings and truths are valid. Working from a systems perspective, I conceptualize each person (individual or in a couple or group) within the context of their unique environments, recognizing the complex interplay of factors that shape their experiences.
I work with individuals, relationships (couples, constellations, non-romantic, etc), and families. I specialize in supporting those who feel isolated, lost, stuck, or like they don’t belong, as well as those who are newer to therapy. I incorporate self-compassion practices into the work, particularly in addressing core beliefs of not feeling good enough or feeling like you don’t matter or are a burden. These core beliefs often stem from implicit or explicit messaging received throughout various stages of life and can be activated in our most important relationships. My goal is to help you become more self aware of your reactions and experiences by exploring and celebrating your strength and resilience, identifying and acknowledging the patterns and beliefs you’d like to be different, cultivating self-compassion and sense of belonging, and empowering your agency for the purpose of feeling peace and autonomy within yourself.
I believe that the work we do together not only benefits you as an individual but also has a broader impact, emanating out positively through the community and contributing to grassroots change. My role is to hold space for your thoughts, emotions, and experiences, allowing you to explore them freely and decide how you want to rearrange the pieces. Whether you are seeking a path forward or simply a place to be heard and witnessed, I am here to walk alongside you in your journey.
